On Oct 27th &28th, Kundwa Health proudly joined young digital health champions from across Africa in the Africa Youth in Digital Health Network Co-creation Workshop, organized by the Africa CDC in partnership with GIZ.
The workshop served as a vibrant platform for youth voices to shape the future of digital health on the continent. Discussions centred on how young innovators can meaningfully engage in the implementation of the Africa CDC’s Digital Transformation Strategy (DTS), which envisions a connected, inclusive, and resilient health system for Africa.
Participants explored both the opportunities and challenges facing youth-led digital health initiatives. Topics ranged from building stronger ecosystems for innovation, reducing barriers to participation, and ensuring that youth perspectives inform policies and programs at every level.
For Kundwa Health, it was an opportunity to share our journey with FunHealth and our broader youth-led health promotion work in Rwanda. By engaging in co-creation with peers from across Africa, we strengthened our commitment to ensuring that young people are not just beneficiaries of digital health solutions, but co-designers and leaders of change.
The workshop reinforced a powerful message: when young minds are trusted with bold solutions, Africa’s digital health transformation can become a reality.
